The Advanced Manufacturing Pilot Facility (AMPF) is a 20,000 sqft high-bay facility located just off the main GT campus. The AMPF is a translational research facility focused on scaling basic research to pilot-scale industrial applications (TRL4-6).  The facility houses active research with several major industrial partners including Delta Airlines, Boeing, Novelis, Mazak, and Visiconsult, as well as sponsored research for various government agencies including the National Science Foundation, Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Logistics Complex, US Department of Energy, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories. The AMPF houses capabilities for hybrid directed energy deposition, laser powder bed fusion, large-scale computed tomography, robotic machining, CNC 5-axis machining, CNC mill-turn, electric discharge machining, coordinate measurement metrology, and manual prototyping.

The Montgomery Machining Mall (MMM) is a professionally-managed prototyping facility that is part of the Wepfer Design Commons and located in the Manufacturing Related Disciplines Complex (MRDC) building on the Georgia Tech campus. The MMM is supported by experienced manufacturing professionals that support machine training, fabrication, and general guidance on effective design for manufacturing. The MMM houses capabilities for CNC 5-axis machining, electric discharge machining, micro-computed tomography, coordinate measurement metrology, and manual prototyping. The EPICS team works closely with the MMM shop staff and has after-hours access to the facility when following standard operation and safety guidelines.

The Flowers Invention Studio is a student-managed makerspace facility that is part of the Wepfer Design Commons and located in the Manufacturing Related Disciplines Complex (MRDC) building on the Georgia Tech campus. The Invention Studio is supported by students across a range of disciplines that support machine training and use across the entire Institute. The Invention Studio houses capabilities for 3-axis CNC machining, waterjet cutting, laserjet cutting, arm-based reverse engineering, FDM/SLA/SLS 3D printing, electronics fabrication and textile assembly. The EPICS team works closely with the Invention Studio staff on machine monitoring studies within the shop space.

The IDEA Laboratory is a training facility that is part of the Wepfer Design Commons and located in the Manufacturing Related Disciplines Complex (MRDC) building on the Georgia Tech campus. The IDEA Laboratory supports curriculum-based training of students on basic fabrication, manual prototyping and CNC machining. The IDEA Laboratory houses capabilities for 3-axis CNC machining, manual fabrication, FDM 3D printing. The EPICS team helps to implement these technologies for training in the area of digital manufacturing.
